I have already been appointed sealer of weights and measures for the town of New Rochelle, of which place I have been a resident for a number of yeurs past, and having a full set of official weights and measures am prepared to give full attention to the duties of the office if your honorable body consents to appoint me. I am very respectfully yours, Louis Kilthau. New Rochelle, N. Y., November 17, 1893. Mr. Hollwegs presented the following resolution: Resolved, That Louis Kilthau be and he is hereby appointed County Sealer of Weights and Measures. On motion it was referred to the Judiciary Committee. A communication was received from The Van Horn Iron Works Co. in relation to the building of a new jail or the remodeling of the present one, which was referred to the Committee on Repairs and Supplies. Mr. Lent presented the return of unpaid school taxes for Districts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the town of Eastchester, which was referred to the Supervisor of the town of Eastchester as a special committee. Mr. Lent presented the following resolution, which was adopted: Resolved, That a committee of three be appointed by the Chairman of this Board, the duty of which shall be to look after and examine all bills introduced into the Legislature of this State affecting the County of Westchester or any of the several towns thereof, with power to employ counsel, to take such measures as they may deem necessary or expedient to resist special or injurious legislation affecting Westchester County or any part thereof, the disbursements and expenses for which shall be a charge upon the County. On motion of Mr. Taylor, the Board adjourned until Wednes Board met pursuant to adjournment. Mr. Secor in the chair ...
