In early 2018, Executive Chef Alex Burger joined The Amsterdam team – from legendary French chef Daniel Boulud’s restaurant group – furthering the Jacobs’ commitment to being the best possible version of their Hudson Valley dream restaurant.
Chef brings a fine dining and French perspective to American classics with his elevated farm-to-table fare. His relationships with local farmers and a deep appreciation for the rich agricultural region allows the bounty of the Hudson Valley to shine throughout the seasons.
The Amsterdam has become a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike whether it’s the restaurant’s handsome 16-seat bar, the beautiful dining room with high ceilings and open kitchen, or the sprawling backyard with a pergola-covered patio, there’s a place for everyone. At night, after-dinner drinks are enjoyed around the fire pit, circled with Adirondack chairs and comfy sofas.
